Water Ripples
 
I happened to be running the garbage disposal on September 14, 2011, when I noticed that the plastic suet container that was filled with water and setting in the sink was putting on quite an interesting display of ripples. I decided to take a video. It reminded me of my Tibetan Singing Bowl and the types of ripples it creates.

Did you know that ricotta cheese can actually turn into "lasagna" after 8 months in the fridge?  What a time-saver! 
 
Seriously though, I must say this was one of the worst things I've ever smelled.  I could hardly even photograph it.  Then, trying to process the photos was making me gag because I kept remembering the smell so vividly.

Here are some photos of Darwin's eye that I took with my new 180mm lens and 2X teleconverter.  They're a little out of focus because I was using it without a tripod, but I still thought they looked neat, especially the couple I modified in Photoshop.

This is a glob inside my lava lamp after it was recently turned on.  I thought it looked like a weird little creature, so I took a few pictures.
