Lyle with his new, leather monkey toy.

June 8, 2018

It's been a while since I've done any close-ups of Lyle's changing lips.  These are a bit dark and grainy, as it was cloudy outside, but they show how drastically he's changed since his last shoot on April 25, 2018.

I really hoped to get a nice shot of him by the creek, but he wouldn't look at me.  Finally, I said the word "opossum" and he quickly turned around with a puzzled look (third photo below).

Enjoying Moss Paradise and entering my composition of some fungus.

Close-up photos of Lyle, documenting his pigment changes.  The first photo shows him doing his Elvis lip thing.  I just love how many different expressions he makes just by watching Greenspike in my hand.

April 21, 2018

Lyle visited Deerfield Hills today.  We went around counter-clockwise today.

I've never seen Lyle so excited to have dug a hole.

As usual, he enjoyed hanging out on the observation deck.

Surprisingly, the trail next to the deck wasn't too wet today and we were able to check out the view.

April 17, 2018

Lyle was playing soccer by himself and Greenspike fell into his water bowl.  After whining for me and having me tell him he could do it himself, he started lapping up the water as if he was going to empty the bowl in order to get the ball as he has done in the past.  I grabbed the camera to capture this, but instead, he surprised me and just grabbed it out of there, and all I got was this photo.

April 15, 2018

Spikeball finally deflated.  I have not been able to find another one exactly like it.  The closest I could find is a green one that is stiffer in texture and a bit heavier.  It's been in his toy chest for about a year already.  Lyle never wanted to play with it in the past, but now that he can't play with Spikeball, he has made the switch to "Greenspike" much smoother than I anticipated.  After he realized he could still play all of his favorite games with the new ball, he decided to put Greenspike in the dryer, just like he did with Spikeball.

In position.

Some action shots of him catching Greenspike.  A bit blurry, but still worth keeping.

April 7, 2018

Proud Lake State Park.

Enjoying the leaves and my favorite rock.

In the first two photos below, he doesn't even mind that the stick he lifted up in the previous photo is resting on his back.

More close-up photos of Lyle, documenting his pigment changes.

March 30, 2018

Lyle visited Seven Lakes State Park today.  Although there was no snow to roll around in, he still had a great time rolling in the field and leaves.  He even got to dig a hole in the sand today.

Some more close-up photos of Lyle, documenting his pigment changes.

Late this evening, resting under the curtain.

March 24, 2018

Lyle visited Rose Oaks County Park today.  He was happy that at least a few sections of trail still had snow to eat and roll around in.
