This excursion to Conservancy Farm had to be broken up into two parts. We got caught in the rain after visiting the field and waited in the car for the rest to pass.

Somehow, Lyle managed to pick up a baby praying mantis by his eye. The poor mantis must have come out of the egg sac early due to the unusual weather fluctuations we've had. It shouldn't have come out until the spring.

Lyle wanted to visit the field again, so we did, but no photos this time. These photos are from the wide wooded trail between the field and the main stretch. Lyle enjoyed climbing up the embankments. He found some intriguing scents.
